Love Notes and Being Your Own Creative Cheerleader

A fun and simple ritual to build belief in yourself and your creativity

Every Sunday for the last year and a half I have a ritual of sitting writing on a sticky note.

This is what I wrote yesterday...

In case you can’t read my messy printing, the note says: Trust in the windy path carved by your curious and creative spirit that got you here. Trust in the trail of footprints of progress behind you and the traces of possibility ahead of you. Create with all the trust, love and imagination you can muster ❤️

In case you can’t read my messy printing, the note says:

Trust in the windy path carved by your curious and creative spirit that got you here.

Trust in the trail of footprints of progress behind you and the traces of possibility ahead of you.

Create with all the trust, love and imagination you can muster ❤️

This practice started because I wanted to greet myself with some words of encouragement as I started my day/week.

Both writing these notes and reading them throughout the week have become a deeply joyful ritual.

I’m a big believer of being your own rowdy spunky cheerleader.

And writing these notes is just one way we can do that and encourage ourselves as we experience fear and dance with uncertainty as we get creative!

We have to believe the time we spend creating matters.

✨Feel free to borrow my love note and bit of encouragement this week OR use the prompts below to writ your own.

✍️ Writing Prompts:

What’s a gentle reminder that you want to carry with you this week?

What feels joyful about what you’re currently creating?

If you feel frustrated, afraid or unsure what would you want someone to tell you?

Or you can simply riff and fill in this sentence... “what I’m creating matters because....”

Happy creating 💕
